“Mack Brown is one of the most successful college coaches of all-time and a dynamic personality,” NFL Network executive producer, Eric Weinberger, said. “He will add a unique perspective on the former college stars as they make the jump to the NFL.”
“I’m excited about the opportunity to be a part of the NFL Network’s Draft coverage next weekend,” Brown said. “It’s an honor to be asked and certainly a tribute to all of the success our guys have had in the NFL and the number of talented draft prospects we have this year.”
Under Brown, Texas has produced six Top 5 picks and eight Top 10 picks, more than any team. The Longhorns have had two first-round selections in six of the last nine drafts and at least one first-rounder in eight of Brown’s 11 drafts.
Overall, Texas has had 41 players drafted during Brown’s tenure, and 35 are still active in the league.
The NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 22nd.
