The Cleveland Browns have agreed to terms with third-round draft choice QB Colt McCoy to a four-year deal worth as much as $5 million, a source told ESPN.com’s James Walker.
|McCoy is seen as the future quarterback of the Cleveland Browns, but we don’t expect to see him much on the field (if at all) this year. The former Longhorn is athletic, accurate on short and mid-range routes, and he’s generally safe with the football. He does struggle to throw when off balance, and doesn’t have a very strong arm. He’ll have to get used to running a pro style offense after working out of the shotgun at Texas. McCoy will learn under Mike Holmgren, so his upside may be better than some think – but he’s still a project that will take a couple of years to develop.|
