After catching three touchdown passes last week against UCLA, Texas Longhorns junior D.J. Grant was named the national tight end performer of the week by the College Football Performance Awards. This would have been very unlikely just one or two years ago. In the spring of 2009, Grant suffered a devastating knee injury, tearing his ACL, PCL and his hamstring. He underwent two surgeries and missed all of the past two seasons. But after catching six passes for 77 yards, Grant said he knew all along he would be back.
