My Outlook for 2012 Texas Longhorns Football
By Randy Maltz – Founder/Editor Silver and Blue Report & Hook’em Report
The Texas Longhorns should take a nice leap in the right direction during the 2012 season.
The Longhorns are a QB situation away from being a legit BCS National Championship contender. The QB position is very raw, but the running backs are studs and will dominate in time. The defense will be extremely active and fast. Opponents will be dreading Manny Diaz and his crew. Their top rated defense should keep the competition to low scoring in every game this season. At the end of the season, Mack Brown should lead their team back into the Top 20, perhaps Top 10. In September, there will be a gut-wrenching three-week stretch, which will feature … at Oklahoma State, home against West Virginia, then away to Dallas for the classic TX-OU matchup.
