You bet your Burnt Orange chaps that the Horns can still be a factor.

Yes, yes, yes…… but is anyone convinced that Notre Dame is the top team in country?

Anthony Davis where are you?

Even without Matt Barkley, I am picking USC to outscore and upset #1 Notre Dame! Max Wittek has the weapons to play with, and beat, Notre Dame. And a one loss Notre Dame will drop like a rock in the BCS rankings.

Looking at the other teams in contention for the BCS Championship Game, I expect #2 Alabama to put the hurt on Auburn and move on the SEC Championship Game.

Now this is where it gets interesting.

Georgia will lose to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game, dropping the #3 Dawgs out of contention.

#4 Florida will lose in Tallahassee to #10 Florida State this weekend, which drops the Gators out of the Championship picture.

Wait, there’s more!

The #5 Oregon Ducks have to travel 40 miles down the road to play in the Civil War in Corvallis against the #15 Beavers. After watching Stanford beat Oregon, would anyone be surprised if Oregon State wins this rivalry game at home, knocking the Ducks from the BCS picture.

So, I am going to skip ahead to declare that #7 LSU will blowout Arkansas this weekend and finish the regular season 10-2. When Alabama and Georgia are beating each other silly in early December, the Bayou Tigers will be home watching this game knowing that it is clearly the second biggest game of the day. That’s because the biggest game of the weekend will be will be taking place at Bill Snyder Stadium as the 9-2 Longhorns will be deciding who will play in the BCS Championship Game against the SEC Championship Game winner (Alabama or Georgia). If the Longhorns upset Kansas State employing an Art Briles blueprint, then the current #7 BCS ranked LSU Tigers will roll into the big game. If Kansas State is victorious, then the current #6 BCS K State Wildcats move forward to play the Crimson Tide.
