This is a truly frustrating season for this young Texas Longhorns Basketball team, the Longhorns coaching staff, and UT basketball fans.
There are plenty of opportunities to win, but in the end just another narrow loss. The Texas Longhorns have gone 1-7, in games within 6 points or less. Myck Kabongo‘s has his 23-game NCAA suspension coming to an end after Saturday. The preseason All-Big 12 selection will play his first game of the season on Wednesday against Iowa State. Sheldon McClellan leads the team in scoring with 14.8 ppg. McClellan has scored in double figures in 20-of-22 games, including four 20-point games. Ioannis “Papi” Papapetrou is averaging 11.1 ppg, 4.9 rpg and 2.0 apg while hitting 27-of-55 (.491) field goals, including 12-of-25 (.480) 3-pointers, and 12-of-16 (.750) free throws over the last seven contests.
