Silver and Blue Report & Hook ‘em Report

James Saxton died at the age of 74.  Saxton was a legendary halfback (’59-’61), who was the first Longhorn RB to be named All-American.  He still holds record for best per carry average (7.9 yards in 1969) in a season and is member of the College Football Hall of Fame.  Darrell Royal once called the “quickest player in America” and a Heisman finalist in 1961.
